Coking Coal, Central Kalimantan
Straits Asia Group holds the exploration rights on a 20,000 hectare area in Central Kalimantan, known as our Lahung project. This area is close to BHP’s Maruwai coal project.  The concession contains high quality Eocene coking coal and Miocene thermal coal.

Mongolian Exploration Company
We also have a minority, 10.1% equity investment in Xanadu Mines Limited, an unlisted public company that holds rights to a mining concession in Mongolia.  Xanadu Mines is in the preliminary stages of an exploration program in the concession area and has discovered significant coal deposits.

Investment Policy
Investment that we consider must give value-add for our shareholders and will be in natural resources. Our particular area of focus is coal. Our parent company has offered us 2 investment opportunities that are being evaluated: an exploration right in Brunei and a pre-feasibility coal resource in Madagascar.
